Wonderful experience
I watched the anime of Nodame Cantabile some time ago, and this game is a relly good adaptation from the anime.
The story mode is entertaining and interesting.
Playing instruments or directing an orchestra with the remote and nuchuk makes me feel great.
Some songs are easy but there are others that are difficult, all classical music (a great selection, by the way).

To sum up, if you like Nodame Cantabile or classical music (or both, why not?) I really recommend this game.

Surprisingly fun experience
Well, I ordered this game without knowing much about it, other than seeing a brief commercial from Japan about it. I was expecting something along the lines of Guitar Hero, but with classical music instead

In essence, that's what it is. You can choose to "play" several orchestral instruments including piano, violin, drums, flute, oboe, cello or you can even conduct the orchestra. The music is fantastic from Beethoven to Debussy, but you'll have to love classical of course. There is also a ton of beautifully hand-drawn anime from the tv series in Japan

My only complaint is that the difficulty level seems too easy thus far. I expected that each note would be played by pressing a different button (ie: guitar hero), or by moving in a specific pattern -- but this is not the case. Instead, the game allows you press any button, or move in any direction just so long as you do so at the appropriate rhythm. I think the developer could have really extended the life of the game by making the instruments a little more difficult

With that said, the game really is a lot of fun. Many (more than 50%) of the songs are not available when you first play, and must be unlocked in both Solo mode and Orchestral mode by completing levels in the Story mode. This adds some fun by trying to collect everything there is, but may be frustrating if you wanted to play it with friends when you first receive it

Speaking of playing with friends, the Orchestra mode (2 to 4 players) is where this game really shines! Each person selects their own instrument of choice and comes together to create a little mini-orchestra. It's a lot of fun!

There are also 3 mini-games in addition to the Story mode, Solo play (1 player), and Orchestra (up to 4 player) modes -- but they are really not that exciting.

Nodame Canabile: Fream Orchestra is a fun game simply for the great classical music, the anime and the funny story line

I recommend it if you're looking for an out-of-the-ordinary rare gem ;)
