more than meets the music..
It's definitely worth the wait! Finally, after the long and arduous journey down the road of nail-biting frustration for this dvd to come out, I have seen its wonderful art on widescreen format for the first time and I can definitely say "Sugoi! Bravo! Bravo!" over and over.

Why? For the simple reason that it's more than just a show about music; it's a show that sings it's heart out to its viewers. The quality of the movie is good, like you're watching it directly from the movie house and the sounds are clearly dolby. The subtitles are well placed and timed. The dvd packaging is simple yet attractive and came in good condition with a slight, almost negligible crease on the box.

The movie length is good; not too long or short, although it's really a cliffhanger since it's the first part. The actors played their parts very convincingly and the bgm was well timed and placed on the parts that required focus. Although most of the time it features Chiaki conducting an orchestra, it didn't just focus on him but showed a lot of angles as the music played. All in all, it was entertaining and gripping at the same time and would definitely make you go back and watch most parts ala the energizer bunny!

My vote? Three thumbs up! (I'm actually an alien) for this wonderful and amusing movie which left me on another journey down the road of nail-biting frustration for the release of part 2....
