It is nothing breathtaking or amazing but it does what Okami does best, warm your heart. The textured jacket is a nice touch, so is the beautiful illustration on the inside.

Each page is simple to understand but entertaining to look at, full of different painting textures and colours. Good for children or any fan of Okami.

Cute and colourful
The storyline is quite cute, although you probably need a good amount of Japanese knowledge to understand. But still, the art alone is pretty much worth it. Not that many games/books offer that kind of traditional Japanese-style art. Would also be a good gift for children (whom you are trying to force to learn Japanese... or art).

A no brainer for Okami fans
This is a short but really nice little book for fans of Okami. I guess it is intended for children but the art is so nice any fan will enjoy it. I don't know Japanese so I can't comment on how good the (sparse) text is, but I got it for the art alone which perfectly mirrors the style from the original game.

The book mainly follows Amaterasu and the northern villagers of Wep'keer as they pass around various drawings that lead to a showdown with a boss monster. Note this is the second book in this series, the first is also available on Play Asia but mislabled "Ogami" if you're searching for it. The first book focuses on adventures around Shinsu field and reuniting Camille and Camellia.

Okami fans have been starved for collectible Okami merchandise so it's very good to see this book available (presumably to help drum up interest in the brand ahead of the release of Okamiden for the DS). I'd recommend this if you enjoy the art of Okami and want to look at more original art. The book is quality made, with two dust jackets and it comes wrapped in plastic. It feels like a quality Japanese collectible.

Colourful and easy to carry around
The book doesn't contain any furigana.

Recommended if you understand Japanese and are a big fan of the game.
