One of my new favorite RPGs
I played this game for almost 120 hours, and still wasn't ready for it to end when it finally did. Time really does fly when you're having fun :`(

The pacing is excellent, the cast is amazing, the story is rich and full of surprises. I loved every minute of it. Even my wife (who doesn't speak Japanese) got totally sucked in and I spent the latter half live-translating for her =)

My only major complaint is that in the first dungeon, there's a spot where you're faced with enemies that are absurdly over-leveled and your only real chance is to try and avoid them (or spend a ton of time grinding). Unsure if this was an oversight or what, but it felt like an odd rough-spot on an otherwise very polished experience.

I'd give this game 6 stars if I could. Stop reading and go play it =P

Great!
I'm not someone who has played other Persona games before. I found the mix of life/dating-sim and RPG to work well together: when you're tired of one, there's another to drag your interest along. Most of the main dungeons are relevant to the story in some way or the main characters, built around the interesting core idea of reforming people's hearts by infiltrating their 'parallel worlds'.

I've not finished the game yet, but the dating/life-sim aspects are fun: you uncover more and more of Tokyo as the game progresses and the months pass. Each character has their own side arc which you can uncover at your own pace.

The dungeons themselves are paced very well, with ample safe rooms and chunks that you don't have to complete all in one game day.

Thematically, the game doesn't pose tons of particularly interesting questions (yet), other than maybe the morality behind the 'reform' system the Phantom Thieves use, but game-wise there are a lot of interesting systems at play here.

Note, I played on Easy (I can see the game becoming tedious at higher difficulties - lots of team planning and spreadsheet-handling, etc.)
