  • Creating your own puzzles is a snap! Design your puzzle by hand or draw any picture you like and convert it automatically into a Picross puzzle. Picross DS automates the process and helps correct errors in your homemade puzzles!
  • Trade puzzles with friends using local wireless or Nintendo WFC or download free bonus puzzle packs.
  • Up to five friends can play in Picross-themed minigames over local wireless, or race to complete puzzles against other gamers on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
  • Daily Picross mode features a series of quick-play puzzle sets that players can return to day after day to test their skill over time.

Each Picross DS puzzle has a sequence of numbers written in the margins of each column and each row. Those numbers show how many squares within that column or row need to be filled in.Players must deduce which squares to fill in. Incorrect guesses earn a time penalty. If a player solves a puzzle in under one hour, they'll earn a bonus animation!Sizes range from simple 5x5 puzzles to much more challenging 15x15 (and bigger!) grids. Players can create and swap puzzles with one another.

Picross DS
The many who got started on Sudoku puzzles, would have found that the logic game of numbers makes them play the game over and over. Then, there are also many artists who like doodling on Internet oekaki boards - places where you can make small, pixel drawings to share with the world. Bring both of them together and you get Picross, a logic puzzle that combines pixel drawing elements. Originally from Japan, the game is now on the Nintendo DS with its latest iteration, Picross DS. The game of Picross plays a little like Sudoku, where filling in a correct blanks leads to the next logical step - you draw out little pictures by filling in the cells in a grid according to the numbers on the sides.

For example, you may discover from filling in the numbers that you were actually drawing a fish. It is not so much about the process as the end product that makes the puzzles satisfying. Controls are handled using either the stylus or the face - or the X, Y, A and B - buttons. With the stylus, you are faced with a rather awkward zoom-and-fill system when you work on the larger grids - the grids become far too small to accuratey draw on. Still, with practice, it becomes easy enough to manage.

Picross DS contains a multitude of stages, each with their own sets of puzzles. Once you are done with all 300 puzzles, you can download puzzle packs off Nintendo\'s Wi-Fi Connection, including puzzles from Nintendo\'s Game Boy classic Mario\'s Picross. Those who fancy multiplayer competition can either share the game through download play, or compete with others online. If you like doing Sudoku puzzles or pixel doddling on oekaki boards, you may find Picross DS a pleasant surprise.

better than Tetris or Meteos
Yes, I played a lot of puzzle games on DS (Kakuro, Sudoku, Honeycomb Beat, Slither link, Tetris, Meteos, Picross etc..) and Picross is my prefered! The Wifi Online is great! It finds after a few second an opponent. I did 150 puzzle battles until now and it\'s so great. The japanese isn\'t an obstacle to understand the menus.

Everyone should have a copy of this game!!!! if you like puzzles, sudoku etc or are familar with picross you owe it too yourself to buy this. Mine arrived on three days ago and I\'ve already had to charge my ds lite twice I\'m playing it that much :) The menus are easy to navigate and best of all, Nintendo are releasing a new pack of 10 puzzles to download via wi-fi connection every Friday made up from old versions of picross. Add in the ability to design and share your own puzzles with friends and online battle play and this really is the best puzzle title out there for ds so far
