Pokemon AS/OR reaches new heights with the introduction of 'SOAR' ability, inclusion of previous legendary Pokemon confirmed

It has been 11 years since we first journeyed into Hoenn and it is about time we made our return trip! Poke-fans are patiently awaiting a revamped story in a reimagined Hoenn packed with features young and old like the X & Y MEGA EVOLUTIONS(!!!),  the customizable Secret Bases, a Legendary Pokemon buffet, and the ability to SOAR!!!!

Nintendo 3DS™ [RPG]

Release: November 21, 2014

In the true spirit of Nintendo everything in the already beautiful region of Hoenn, from the quiet town of Little Root to the legendary Rayquaza, has been reimagined in a fully 3D world - carrying over the polish and finesse of Pokemon X andthat impressed so many series veterans.

If Pokemon X and Y offered Pokemon fans a modern re-imagining of our familiar Pokemon world then Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby is the direct expansion on that philosophy, taking the time to flesh out the new design directions and lore. In addition to carrying over features like Mega Evolutions and online interactions, Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby will be featuring an entirely new approach to exploring the Pokemon world!

Only just announced, both versions of the game will feature the ability to 'Soar' on the backs of the legendary Pokemon Latios (OR) and Latias (AS). And if you're hardcore about the "Gotta' Catch 'Em All" philosphy, both legendary birds will be available to capture at a later date this year with the help of the Eon Ticket.

The 'Soar' ability is essentially what we all wished 'Fly' could be, and from the video evidence the freedom of use is all that we could have hoped for! Soar allows you to leave the tall grass and take to the sky, catching and discovering flying Pokemon in their natural habitat! As well as the newfound mobility and perspective, players will be able to discover 'Mirage Spots,' large voids in the sky that contain powerful Pokemon and rare items!

Speaking of all things rare and powerful Nintendo have re-introduced a whole array of past legendaries for us to catch in the upcoming games. In addition to the obvious inclusions of Groudon, Kyogre, Latios, Latias, and Rayquaza we will also be seeing the likes of Ho-oh, Lugia, Diagla, Palkia, Reshiram, and Zekrom. The official website has even teased the possibility of coming across other unlisted favorites in-game...
