Not as good as Black & White soundtrack, but still good.
The soundtrack was pretty good, but some of the songs were kind of lame.
This soundtrack really shines with the epic battle music. While playing Pokemon Y and battling Yveltel for the first time, I let the 3DS just sit there and hook it up to my sound system and immediately went to this site and ordered Pokemon XY soundtrack. The composition to Xerneas/Yveltel battle theme is just amazing and truly epic, something that says legendary. I believe you hear this same song while battling Zygarde.
The original battle music remixed for Mewtwo was a very nice treat, but after this song, you are treated to origins Pokemon remixes which were pretty good!
The overall soundtrack is typical RPG music, but still good because you can hear the signature sounds from Junichi Masuda. As far as the running around the Pokemon map music goes, I really the ice music and forest music.
If you like Pokemon music, I'd pick this up, even if you weren't a fan of Pokemon X and Y.
