Another perfect film from Mr. Miyazaki. This time around we are invited to enter the magical world of the Tanuki and bear witness to their battle for their home land. As usual the humans are ruining everything; by developing into the tanuki's woodland home they are forced to use their mythical powers of transformation in an attempt to scare the 'invaders' away. As usual this movie is drenched in heart and beautiful animation, the transformations especially. This is definatly up there with my favorite Miyazaki films (ie - all of them). Check it out if you have a soul.

one again from ghibli, still great. Go green, that's spirit from the raccoon.

Full of depth and magic
Another great film from the Studio Ghibli factory. Concepted by Miyazaki and directed by Isao Takahata (responsible of the masterpiece Grave of the Fireflies), Pom Poko is another serious critical piece against human development last century (can be very touching).
Even being essentially a drama, the film is full of humour and becomes very cute.

The Raccoon bears, capable of metamorphic powers, will try to stop human big city development affecting their home.

A must-see piece for all Ghibli fans.
