X-ceptional!!! Cute, fun, and easy gameplay!!!
Seifuku Densetsu Pretty Fighter X for SEGA Saturn is quite the imporvement over the Super Famicom verison! Better controls, better graphics, better voice acting, easier gameplay, more characters, and all in all, great game!
Having that be said, I'll break down the game. It is essentially Street Fighter II, but uses really cute girls for the characters and has great cutscenes with some amazing voice-acting (for Japanese games anyway). This is one of those games that you can just pick up the controller and know how to play after about 6 seconds. The graphics are not something I comment about, but in this case (since we have very pretty girls), I would like to point them out as having fantastic graphics. They are much improved over the Super Famicom version and now I can understand them. The stages and layouts are really well detailed (but cartoony enough to make it appealing). There are 11 pretty fighters to choose from, with one being a hidden character accessible by entering a code. I always choose Jyuri because of the way she looks, stage, music, special moves, and charming victory pose.
I beat the game on one try, but unlike the Super Famicom version, this is one game I can play over and over! Great game!
On a side note, being a CD game, you get a dreaded loading screen, but, it is really short. It usually takes at most 3 seconds to load which is quite good for the time.
