In sore need of a sequel
A fresh new Prince with a fresh new outlook! The graphics are gorgeous, gameplay is as you would expect with a PoP game, albeit slightly simplified compared to the PoP Sands series. The maps are huge and it very much feels almost like an "open world" game.
Most fans of the PoP series will like this I think as it retains a lot of what has come before. The main drawbacks for me was that there was no risk in the game as you are always saved by Elika just before the moment of death, whether it's in a fight or a mis-judged jump, however it is still a strong game in itself.
I just wish they would make a sequel for this Prince...

fun game if the price is right
It is a short game. About 12-15 hours depending on how many achievements you want to work for and how many "light crystals" or whatever they are you want to find. If you want to find them all, then the game will probably take you 20 hours, but that can be said with ANY game that has collectable whatevers.
I have watched friends play the older PoP games and I thought they looked pretty fun, but this is the 1st one I have every tried. I enjoyed it, but its 85% platforming if not more. so that can get a little boring and tedious at times, but if you acrobatic platforming like Assassins creed then you might really enjoy this game.
The combat is light, and get repetitive after the first half of the game. This game doesn't break any barriers, but it doesn't mess anything up either. Solid single player experience. The female lead is a rather attractive if I may add.

Fairy tale come true
A beautiful and imaginative world that looks incredible, healed or otherwise. This is a masterpiece in artistic design. And the experience itself is simply magical. Gameplay is perfect, with replay value if if you hunt down all the Light Seeds and unlockable skins add some fun too.

Fun but not that special
I really liked PoP for the most part. The parkour system is pretty straightforward and fun, and I liked how you cannot die from falling. The cell shaded graphics also give it a certain charm.

The thing is, it just wasn't that compelling of a game. It was an easy game to play, but also an easy game to stop. Nothing really original to see here in terms of gameplay, story or atmosphere.

Overall, an above average game, but not a very exceptional one. If you just want to parkour, try Assassin's Creed II or Prototype.
