To commemorate the event of Puyo Puyo's 15th anniversary, Sega powered up their puzzle game and combined the previous installments of this series “Puyo Puyo”, “Puyo Puyo Tsu-” and “Puyo Puyo fever” in to one software.Puyo Puyo is a game where you line droplets of the same colored gems (puyo) together in a gap-less fashion. Although it is a simple game, it is a real challenge to master, especially with all the new battle modes. Some puyo puyo stages are flipped upside-down once every little while, some of them look as if they are filled with water so the puyo drops float on top, and these are just a few of the new fun stages designed specifically for the game.Aside from interesting stages, this 15th anniversary event is a large festival for the Puyo Puyo magical school, the characters from the first installment to the latest show up, ready to perform for the occasion. Puyo Puyo welcome new time gamers with innovative game play while old time gamers will find both a sense of familiarity and freshness in this installment.

Puyo fun
Lots of fun for Puyo collectors.
The random gameplay style before each round is a nice idea.
Nice priced down edition too!

Going to keep you engaged for a long, long time.
I'm new to Puyo Puyo and loving it so far. This game has a ton of different modes and stuff to learn. The super-deformed cute graphics are smack on.

Everything is in Japanese, including all menus, but I had no trouble getting to the action. Pity I don't understand most of the dialog, though. The voice acting is obviously high quality, and there's a surprisingly high amount of it.

For some reason, the music seems just a little bit less energetic and striking than Puyo Puyo Fever's.

I haven't played yet but
I really like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not like SEGA when they took over puyo puyo and changed the game totally,
but I guess SEGA realized now that people wants old puyo back!!!!
especially characters!!!!!!!!!!! SHEZO & ARLE!!
I'm little disappointed that Witch is not there but anyway, I cannot wait 'till it comes!

No title
I completely second the last review.

You can play this game in several other games\' special modes, including Classic (Tsuu) and Fever. It also has the ice-block frozen puyo that appeared in PuyoPuyo~n.

I was angry with the Fever games for removing the original Madou Monogatari cast, being a fan of them, but I am delighted to say many of them have returned in this game: Mini-Ganesh, Eggplantgrape, Skatefish, Schezo Wegey, Rulue, and my favourite, Satansama, and of course, Arle and Carbuncle. This alone was enough to win me over, but the gameplay made me stay.
