It's just like the Ranma 1/2 cartoon!!
Fantastic RPG from Ranma 1/2 anime! This game really feels like it's completely inspired from the cartoon show! The all look really mad for some reason, but look like the real characters from the TV show. The music sounds like it's something that would be in the TV show, but most of it is original. The story is very good and at times, pretty funny. It was as if Rumiko Takahashi created this game!

The graphics are very good and very funny at times. All the characters look kind of like chibi versions of their anime counterparts making this game very appealing to all ages!

If you are familiar with Ranma, then you know all the characters "curses". This game executes them very well and tie them in with the story perfectly.

The maps took me a while to figure out, but when I did, it was simple. The maps are very well laid out and seem to be simple enough to always guess your way around the world.

The battle system is pretty self-explanatory. It also looks nice. The backgrounds always match your environment pretty well. The battles are turn based with a speed system that you don't really see, but it works. It's always fun to hit enemies and see the faces they make when you beat them away. You have your 4 basic commands that work kind of like Final Fantasy for NES. Attack, Magic, Item, and Run. The menus are pretty easy too. The menu screen lets you equip, use items, view status, and most importantly, save. This is one plus in this game. You can save ANYWHERE you want much like in Pokemon.

The only thing I have a problem with is that the text goes a little slow and if you can't read Japanese, it gets a little irritating. I can read enough to save and play most simple RPG games. If I have to read something that someone gives you a hint on or something, I usually find myself to a player's guide. I am using a guide to tell me the story as I play and I am really liking it.

This game is a definite must for any Ranma 1/2 fan. I have managed to get the whole anime series, OVA series, movie series, and any Ranma game I can find! This one is definitely worth playing!
