A new series of robots created by... Mr. X?
The story in this Rockman game is that Mr. X created 8 robots to be in a tournament (but it is a sidescroller, so you beat the stage, fight the boss, get the power) to defeat Rockman. All the bosses in this game are "masters" of whatever weapon they are using and is kind of different to see all of the robot's stats on the flyscreen.
4 of the stages are stages you just beat, the other 4 stages (as long as you have POW and Rush Jet Adapter) have multiple exits. After finding the alternate exits, beat the boss and receive a BEAT part similar to Rockman 5. I have never actually used BEAT, but it is fun to go after. After the 8 master robots, you battle your way through Mr. X's castle only to find a mysterious person after taking down Mr. X.
The music and gameplay are still; amazing. I never liked the POW ability, but the Rush Jet adapter is cool because it makes you fly and it recharges. All the stages are unique, a good solid game. Definitely worth playing if you like Rockman or 2-D sidescrollers.
