Very good
Rune Factory is getting farther away from the harvest moon formula with every game, sure this game is great on its own, great graphics, gameplay and a lot of content, just keep in mind that if you prefer the more traditional harvest moon gameplay this is barely part of this game anymore.

Very fun game
I really enjoyed it, and think it's the best one in the series. Transferred over well from handheld to home console.

Brilliant game in the series
Personally, I consider Rune Factory: Frontier to be the best in the RF series. It has vastly improved on all aspects of the previous games, with no full on negative points.

It takes to longer to improve your relationships with the townsfolk and your tamed monsters, but the townsfolk are more interesting and diverse, plus the monsters are much more fun to fight, tame and go exploring with.

If anyone reading this review is on the fence about this game, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

More impressive than it looks
When I picked up Rune Factory, I was expecting a game to keep me busy for a week, at most. Now I have been playing it for about a month, and I still have no plans to stop.
This game is really improved in comparison to its predecessors: the farming system has become more dynamic with the addition of the Runeys; the dungeon crawling has become much more fun with the possibility of creating a whole deal of different equipment, befriending monsters for much more reasons than you had before, the possibility to beat the bosses as many time as you want to get its items, etc.
The dating sim is also a lot nicer, since there are many more options and the girls actuallyinteract a lot with one another, and there are many fun events you can watch while befriending them.
Speaking of events, there are so many side-events on the game that you'll always find yourself busy with some mistery, with no second of boredom.
The festivals are great, and you'll be willing to repeat them ton of times in order to be the great winner.
The thechnical aspects like sound and voice acting are really goood to; all the characters are voiced (not fully, but still...), and all the returning characters have improved voices when compared to the previous games.
To sum it up, Rune Factory is really a worthwile gaming experience. You shouldn't miss it even if you have already disliked another game of its genre, or if you have no idea what it is about.
