Dont Mess with a Yakuza
This is my first Yakuza and the reason why I bought this is because of karaoke!! Well, not really. I just wanted to be a Yakuza for once and the fact I can see a Yakuza doing karaoke isn't bad at all.

I enjoyed this game. It's hard not to explore and find side-quests when playing Yakuza. That's probably why it's taking me a looong time just to finish the main story. But I'm a gal who loves Japan so how could I not take my time exploring?? At some chapters, you can opt to travel with your girl companion and when you walk slow you get to hold her hand. It's super adorable.
When you play with her and buy her things when she asks you, you'd gain friendship points with her and the higher you get, the better things she'll give.

The start of the story is quite slow. You're not exactly a Yakuza anymore since you've retired to take care of an orphanage with many children. So a few of your "problems" will be child behavior issues and school issues. After a few of talking to children to solve problems, you'll eventually go back to your old Yakuza-ing place.

The gameplay is simple, you fight with your barehands or with weapons that you can buy. You learn weapon skills by fighting someone who's good at it. You can even make weapons out of everyday life by going to a certain shop. You can also gain fighting ability by looking at a scene, take pictures and choose what to blog about that picture. Yeah man, you a ylogger. I'd read that blog anytime. You'll get hints on those blog-able scenes from this African American guy that's supposed to be texting with weird I'm-a-foreigner-trying-to-write japanese but that got kinda lost in translation.

If you're into 100% completition you might need a walkthrough, otherwise, just explore and talk to people and enjoy the game. Oh and don't forget to try out the food and beverages they offer you. Yum!
