You've never played a puzzle platformer quite like this! Using her fishing hook, Yumi must make her way through a variety of levels by running, jumping, and throwing her coveted fishing line! Yumi can use her fishing line to swing between platforms, lower herself down to other ledges, and even catapult herself great distances by stretching the line to its breaking point! No, not goodbye... see you! ;-)
I got this game on the European 3DS eShop, and although it greatly annoys me when games aren't given a physical release (retail), I am most satisfied with my purchase. It is the first time I have been exposed to the Umihara Kawase series, and I glad I discovered it! Giant randomly Places everyday-objects, walking sea life, levels that get progressively harder to maneuver and really forces you to think and master your tools, and a girl who has to use her elastic fishing rod to maneuver through these wacky obstacle courses... these are all elements that remind me why I love Japan, and their ability to make games out of crazy concepts. "It takes crazy to know crazy".

All that said, Sayonara UmiharaKawase, which going off the title is probably sadly the last game in the line-up, is a fantastic and quirky platform game with excellent hard-to-master physics, and a charm you just can't help falling in love with - it'll surely keep you entertained for hours :-)

Farewell, Umihara Kawase
The latest and most likely the last game in the series from the original makers, Sayonara Umihara Kawase pits the player against multiple levels of pendulum physics and pesky pisces.
With spot on physics, this platform puzzler will challenge you to tackle every stage the fastest way possible. Knowing every trick in the book helps a lot, and each stage manages to offer a new kind of challenge from the last, and with the stage objects pretty much all of the stages offer a different challenge from the two previous games, which you can purchase as a bundle in the DS game Umihara Kawase Shun Second Edition Kanzenban.
The game is know as Yumi's Odd Odyssey in the US, but PAL region maintained the Japanese naming.
In short, this is the best puzzle platform game on the system.

brilliant, challenging fun
This game is fantastic, the best title in the series since the SNES Version. It's very import-friendly, you can play the game without knowing any Japanese. The music and the art-style go hand in hand to give you a nice summer-in-Japan vibe. The in-game tutorial is very short, even if you can read Japanese, I recommend looking up some Youtube Videos to learn some of the more advanced techniques, you'll need em' ;-)
