Best PvP control pad with slight flaws
Flaws: Note to Capcom vs SNK 2. You will find the pad is unable to response to select the assigned 3rd character (by pressing both HP and HK button) during the character order screen, player have no choice but to order the character by selected character.

It took me quite some time to discover the work around for this flaws. You need to also assign R2 button as HP, then you press R1 and R2 in order to select the assigned 3rd character.

Also, it would be nice if the L1 were R1 and R1 were R2, then the default button placement will be same as original PS2 controller without reconfigure on the button on the game. It is rather annoying to reconfigure the button whenever we swap the controller between sega and original pad on the same game when we have multiple players on PvP.

Simply Wonderful
I use this pad to play all the classic 2D Fighters I have. SF3, Garou: MOTW, KOF98, SamSho, etc. The D-Pad is the best I have used to date. It feels just like the original Saturn pad. The buttons are very responsive, and they are perfect for long combos, etc.

If you are looking for something which not only looks good, but out performs the other pads out there..look no further then this controller.

BEST PAD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

It works darn well
Other than a \"quality\" arcade stick like the Hori Real Arcade Pro, this is as close to the arcade that you\'ll get with a pad. This is in all intents and purposes, a recreation of Sega\'s greatest controller. What makes the Saturn pad so sought after is the 6 face buttons. This makes it a fighting fan\'s dream pad. Not for much else though (if it\'s 2d then use this). Be nice to have a dual analog version of a Saturn pad. Maybe in the next generation.

Buttons are highly responsive. Pulling off EX moves in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is easier than before. So is just canceling out of moves and the like. The pad is way different from the original PS2 pad so it takes a little time to get used to the looser but more precise nature of the Saturn pad. So less oopsies with motions than before on the PS2 pad. I haven\'t tried it on other non SF games but I\'m sure I won\'t have a problem with Guilty Gear or any other 2d fighter.

And the colors are wrong. This one isn\'t really white, it\'s more of a greyish white, and the reds on the start and select and L and R buttons are more of a maroonish color. It looks kinda ugly. It\'s alright though. Nothing to puke over.

All n\' all. Buy this controller if you play 2d games that don\'t use the analog sticks. You will never regret it. The difference is truly night and day.

Finally 2D games are playable
The best pad ever released for the playstation system. Ironic that it\'s a sega pad. Finally 2D games are playable on a sony system without killing the nerves in your thumbs.

Infinitley better then those Street Fighter controllers, this is the real deal, not a failed rip-off like them.

It\'s about a 99% authentic re-creation of the original saturn pad. The only differences are the select button, the alternate button labels, no indent for the sega logo, and the colours are slightly off (not by much though!).

Now all we need is the Saturn 3D controller (with an aditional analogue stick added) and playstation would finally have a good 3D pad too!
