Great voice acting!
It's the story of Ieyasu and Mitsunari's rivalry, full of hammy dialogue delivered by an all-star cast of voice actors from most of Capcom's popular franchises.

Addictively Awesome!
A title that couldn't let me put my controller down. It's fun high octane action that makes me want more each time I play it. This title is loosely based off real events that occurred in Japan with historical figures being reimagined from the ground up as anime iterations. Unlike some of the Warriors games that focus on each era of characters as a whole, Sengoku Basara focuses on each individual character's storyline. Unlike Warriors games, characters also have multiple paths and battles to choose from when progressing through the story. Also unlike Warriors games, Sengoku Basara doesn't have you going from different points on the map in order to progress but rather your end goal is a boss battle for each stage you play. Other than those instances, it's standard fair on what to expect when comparing this to a Warriors game like leveling up, new weapons, special attributes to add to your weapon, and so on. It's definitely a purchase and for the price you can't go wrong.

Perfect!
Beside the "serious" Warriors-Series, this game is one its best kind, decent graphics, nice voice acting and some laughable moments. Note: US-Ver. is multi language, great!

Let's learn Japan's History...kind of
I always liked Samurai Heroes ever since I played it in PS2. Some of the characters have drastically changed in terms of design and .. personality in this game compared to Samurai Heroes particularly Oichi. Not to mention Mitsunari has turned emo with that hairstyle. Even his personality is all emo with constant spouting of "I hate Ieyasu" but at least he's wearing purple and I like purple.

The characters looks cool. Costumes are great if I ignore Mitsunari's hair. You still get to kill thousands of people with ease unless you choose a harder difficulty. The boss fight can be tough at times and some bosses can't be defeated and instead requires you to escape. You also collect upgrades that you can insert into your weapon that you can only find on certain battlegrounds.

The story is ... kind of repetitive. You basically chose a hero and that hero would eventually be either on Mitsunari's side or Ieyasu's side (or neither, in some cases)
The peak of the story is ALWAYS the fight between Mitsunari (purple) and Ieyasu (yellow). So far, I've played with 5 characters and unlocked a few others but all 5 of them always end up at the same battleground where it's a fight between purple vs yellow. If you're playing as Kanbe Kuroda you get to defeat both of them. Still, you are at that battleground where Ieyasu is fighting Mitsunari.

The game does allow you to choose who to fight within the hero's storyline. And whatever you choose would affect the outcome of the story. Some character would die on this path, on another path, that character would survive. But, having the same storyline means you'll fight the same character on the same battlefield with the same strategy. The only difference is, you're using another hero. It gets boring.

The only thing motivating me to play this game is the fact that it's couch co-op and I'm waiting to unlock Tsuruhime (although I kinda dislike her character) oh and of course, Oda Nobunaga which requires a lot of replay by choosing different story paths.

But if you don't care about the story/completion and just enjoy killing people over and over again, this game is for you.
