Shipping today: Dicing Knight for Wonderswan™ - Zelda like action adventure

Dicing Knight (the most recent released Wonderswan™ title) was based on the winning title of the second official Japanese Wonderwitch coding competition from 2002. Just like the earlier released Judgement Silversword: Rebirth Edition (which we already sold out unfortunately), this title was not distributed through Bandai, but just sold through Qute's small Japanese online shop.

We picked up a limited batch of this game and were able to play for a couple of minutes. As a result, were quite impressed, especially considering that the game is actually not of commercial nature.

As demonstrated in the earlier released preview video (it can still be downloaded here), the game looks and plays very much like the good old 16-bit Zelda. You are able to attack with your sword as well as block enemy attacks with your shield, using the A and B action buttons.

Once an enemy has been defeated, you can pick up a bunch of usefull stuff using your Y3 button, such as RPG/action adventure typical heal portions, maps, keys, extra lifes, etc.

Further, we noticed that the game appears to be completely in English - which is at least what we can conclude after playing for a couple of minutes only. The startup screen, world map, status bar are all displayed in English, making it possible for Wonderswan™ fans outside of Japan to add this title to their collection.

All Dicing Knight preorders have been dispatched this afternoon and new orders are now welcome at a slightly adjusted price of US$ 69.90 as long as our stock lasts. Please note that due to the limited availability of this title, there is now a quantity restriction of 1 unit per customer for this product.

Collectors may take notice that Qute has so far only announced one print of Dicing Knight and this one was only shipped to customers who preordered the game in Japan. Therefore sold copies of this game are expected to be very limited.

Last but not least, while speaking about Bandai's handheld, we were now able to locate all color models of the most recent SwanCrystal model. The SwanCrystal - Violet Blue is already in stock, Wine Red, Clear Blue, as well as Clear Black units are expected to arrive in around 1 week from now. Pricing is set at US$ 59.90 per model.
