Ten years ago, Kazahana Palace, home to the king of the Snow Country Kazahana Sousetsu, was attacked and destroyed. The king's brother, Kazahana Dotou, saw the opportunity to be king and destroyed the palace--and murdered the king. Yet the king's daughter, Princess Koyuki, survived with the aid of Hatake Kakashi, who rushed her out of the country.

In the Fire Country, Princess Koyuki, under the guise of Fujikaze Yukie, is heralded as the Fire Country's greatest actress! Starring as Princess Fuun, she has become a hero for many--including her biggest fan, Naruto! So imagine Naruto's surprise when she rides by, being pursued by several armored samurai? After dispatching her "bodyguards," they all find out that their new mission is to escort Yukie to the Snow Country!

But unbeknowest to Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi, Yukie's past begins and ends within the borders of the Snow Country. Her father's brother, Dotou, anxiously awaits her arrival, in the hopes that she will be able to unlock her father's biggest secret. At the center of the land, a single keyhole awaits the arrival of Princess Koyuki, or whoever wields its key. Will Dotou's wishes for the tool to be a weapon come true, or will it take the strength of one unwilling princess to give her people a future?
