description

A story of songs, dreams, and just a smidge of romance of the Dreamers fighting to protect dreams.

Yumemi Dreamer is the new rhythm adventure game from Kogado Studio’s Kuroneko-san Team, who have brought you other popular games featuring beautiful female characters such as Angelic Serenade and Symphonic Rain.

The story takes place in Hoshimaki, a small town in the suburbs, not far from the ocean. The protagonist is an ordinary middle school girl named Yumemi Nanahoshi. Her completely normal life is interrupted by the appearance of Kirara, whose home across space Littlestar has been destroyed by monsters called the MUMA. Kirara has been followed to Earth by these MUMA monsters who threaten to control people’s nightmares and eat their souls. To protect her way of life and that of everyone around her, Yumemi must become a Dreamer and use the Song of Purification to defeat the MUMA. With the support of her childhood friend Kanato, Dreamer Yumemi’s battle against the MUMA begins today. To protect peace on Earth. And to protect everyone’s dreams.

With the power of the bond between heroine and hero, step through the gate to the world of dreams.

good game!
tries to turn around a sentimental story that we have seen thousands of times: that of a well-to-do person in a routine relationship who, thanks to the echoes of his past, begins a journey that is called introspective but which is actually a cry for freedom of those barriers. Here they try to instil a magical realism that has little of that and that works regularly. The illustration technique and its replayability dynamics carry the weight of a work that otherwise falls short of the goal of achieving a truly innovative conversational adventure.

Simple collectathon-type platform adventure
Gameplay can be quite simplistic for today's standards, but the setting and mood is great for you to delve in and enjoy.

Star Melody: Yumemi Dreamer
I've seen this described as an RPG/Rhythm/VN game. It's not exactly that. It's mainly a VN. The few battles that occur are turn-based but they are pointless since I always won the battles that needed to be one and lost the ones that needed to be lost according to the plot. There is also no levelling-up system here.

There is a rhythm game incorporated into the product but this isn't a Hatsune Miku game. If you have played other games in that genre you won't have any problem finishing the songs on normal difficulty here. Plus there aren't many found here. There was a total of seven songs unlocked after I finished the game once. One the plus side the music is incredibly catchy so playing this part of the game is fun.

I'm not familiar with the Magical Girls genre so I can't say if this is a typical story for the genre but it was interesting enough that I played through it and completed it in about four days. The game isn't overly long but there do seem to be multiple endings requiring more than one play-through. The story itself is quite serious containing practically no humour.

If you're a fan of VNs you'll probably want to check this game out but don't get it if you're expecting to the focus to be on anything other than the VN part.
Overall it was enjoyable enough that I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new VN with a very slight twist.

Excellent game but sensitive material
The game itself is good, but it does infact contain sensitive material that is heavily provocative with one of the songs being somewhat difficult to do with getting recommended to practice off of someone else if possible. It is best done by itself beaten within 15 minutes straight.
