Item Description
The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created with guidance from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

disappointing
While I didn't have many expectations, the game makes you think it's about a sith, so I was excited to play as the dark side. It's.. really not like that. The story is cliche and the protagonists's motivations and personalities didn't make much sense or had much work into them.
The action itself has flaws, still it can be a lot of fun, using powers and jumping around, the levels are mostly fun with some very frustrating parts/bosses now and then, good for players who like challenges as on 'normal' it can be very hard... but the story just ruined it for me.
I wanted to believe the main character was badass but he's so cliche, and lame, and by mid-game the whole of the story had me rolling my eyes and wishing it just wasn't there.
I'm not going to spoil it, but if you don't care about story or like/don't mind cliche "redemption" stories with a side of "love saves", you might really enjoy it. Just don't expect to be able to really play as the dark side. Starkiller is mostly an emo baby who just needs a hug.
Another annoyance was the pause menu, it's so very slow that I tried to use it the least I could.

Bland, repetitive, short and soulless
The game starts with a bang, giving you control of Vader invading a Wookie planet and tons of opportunities for full mayhem with the dark side of the Force. Unfortunately, that's all it has to offer. The opportunities are there, with an interesting new character, Starkiller, and a plot set between the events of Episodes III and IV, but Force Unleashed is too worried about fan service to deliver a truly distinct and polished experience. The pace is uneven, controlling an overpowered character makes everything get old really quickly, and the physics of the game is sketchy - sometimes everything seems to gel when you lift a spaceship and throw it at a bunch of enemies, only for you to get stuck in a piece of scenario debris. Underwhelming overall.
