description

There are two kinds of people: the rulers and the ruled.

The Heights are a gorgeous utopia. The Depths, a filthy industrial wasteland. Our heroine, raised in the Heights, has nothing but contempt for those below. Now an observation mission requires her to descend into that world, and the gears of fate have begun to turn.

It’s fine, but not worth $60+
Recently just finished this game. It’s good. I liked it. But I feel the story is unfocused, the boys are largely unempathetic to your troubles. Many of the stories ignore the main plot entirely. Which is weird considering it was very significant. Your major problems are completely glassed over once you pick a boy and their route. (Mostly)
The story loves to tout that you’re an independent woman, but you’re borderline dumb in certain situations and the male cast has to save you near constantly. Which would be fine, if the game wasn’t constantly reminding me that I’m independent woman who don’t need no man. I needed many men to save me.
The voice acting is great. There are multiple endings which is influenced by both your relationship with the boys and your immediate choices. I love the art style. It has pretty frequent choices. You can look at your relationship with the boys at any time which is nice. You also get to see an immediate reaction to good or bad decision making which is nice when you’re aiming for certain routes and endings.
The unskippable videos and credits is WILDLY annoying considering how many times you’re going to have to watch them.

If you’re going to buy this game you might as well get the physical. The eshop price on Switch and Steam are also near $70. And again I think if this had been a $40 title I wouldn’t be so harsh. But for $67 (When I bought it, not including shipping) I’m going to treat it like a $70 game. And it’s not worth that much. This is a $40 game tops trying to pretend it’s worth that price tag.

Otome Visual Novel
Great story. If you want to explore all of the endings you should get between 35 to 40 hours of gameplay.

Just wow, the writing in this is amazing, and whoever they got to localize this, definitely knew what they were doing. It's like a hybrid of old english, and poetry. Also there's more character, and world building in this, then basically any other VN ever made, which the character perspective feature in no small part, helps with.
