features

  • Swing the Joy-Cons Like Drumsticks - One feature of Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! is the “Furifuri Performance” control method, where you swing the Joy-Cons like drumsticks to enjoy a Taiko Drum Master experience just like you were at the arcade. The “Don” note is hit with a straight downward swing of the Joy-Cons, while the “Kat” note is hit with a diagonal downward swing. HD Rumble is also supported, allowing you to feel each strike of the drums.
  • Performance Characters that Possess Various Performance Skills - Performance characters are one of the new elements in Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! Before starting a performance, you can select a performance character. Each characters possesses various performance skills, so be sure to challenge songs that you have never played before
  • Master Drumsticks - If you select the Master Drumsticks character, there will be no distinction between “Don” and “Kat” notes allowing you to simply swing the Joy-Cons to match the rhythm
  • Lantern Eel - If you select the Lantern Eel character, you can barrage the drums to get a high score

Fantastic Edition
I really loved the game and this version is awesome!

My two weeks in a row evening habit
Awesome game. Your mistakes doesn't make music awful, like in guitar hero, but you just play with a song. Got a mistake buying dlc in european EShop, so be careful about them. Also online ranking is pretty alive, got no problems finding an opponent(on easy and normal difficulties, don't think hard and extreme lack of them, will check it soon).

Must buy if you enjoy rhythm games, and mostly great songs.

Let's get physical
Always try to get physical copies of games. What's interesting is when first playing there is an update that immediately changes it all to English which was unique for an import game as my other import games require manual langue changes.

The game is great but be advised that the region specific dlc that is not accessible unless you have an account in the territory also effects free downloads.

Great game

Incredible
Yes!, very funny to play with family or friends, the portable version is solid indeed but is better in TV screen (to play with more people) many exclusives tunes of Nintendo included here

finicky controls are the only stumbling point
The graphics are colorful
The songs are fun and plentiful
I experienced no bugs
But the motion controls are a bit off sometimes, you'll move the controller up after hitting a beat and it'll think you're hitting it again. You can always use the button controls but that's not what I was hoping for.
oh and the English language for this game requires a 150 mb download so just be ready for that.

Worthwhile as a rhythm game but know its imperfect in that one area.
