A must for any
This book charts the history of the "Tales of..." series from Phantasia right through to Xillia albeit Xillia is restricted to 10 pages whereas most games have around 28 pages dedicated to them. The book also covers the offshoots inc Radiant Mythology, Vs and Fandom.

The book starts with colour plates depicting a character/characters from each of the main games. Each following game chapter starts with a synopsis of the game story followed by the game package artwork and the guide books available (and bear in mind this book was published by Enterbrain and thus only covers the books it published and not those guides published by NBGI which in my opinion are much better). A 2 page spread on each of the major characters then follows with one page dedicated to artwork of the character.

The last third of the book is a glossary of items, people, some beasts etc that can be found in the various games.

The text is all in Japanese, understandably, which may limit its popularity outside of Japan. However, if you are a fan of the series then language barrier or not you have to have this book. No arguments. Buy it. You won't regret it.
