description

The story takes place in the same world as in Tales of Phantasia. You control two main characters, one is a 15 year old boy named Fulein Lester, a student of the magic school. The other is a tiny female android named Macaron, which Fulein Lester carries around on his arm. In his adventure, he must recruit monsters in to summon units, and train them to battle the enemies. Up to 3 monsters can battle at the same time.

Strategy RPG in the Tales Universe
Just a note to anyone interested in this game, it is a strategy/tactical RPG, not featuring the same gameplay as the main Tales games. But don't let that turn you off, because it is still has a lot to offer.

The gameplay style is similar to other strategy/tactical RPG games. You have your characters on a battlefield grid and assign them commands. When you move your units close to enemy units, you are allowed to attack.

The graphics can be hit-or-miss. The battlefield and characters on them aren't too detailed, so it feels a little simplistic at times. But when it enters a battle screen, more detailed versions of the characters appear. The music is simple, but seems to fit.

Overall, it is an enjoyable game. If you're looking for a typical Tales experience, this is probably not your game, but if you want to try every Tales game, then there's no reason to pass this up.
