description

In the sophisticated city of Akasaka, a small restaurant established in the Meiji-era still proudly displays its hanging curtain: Yajima. When the second-generation owner, Kouta Yajima, grows ill, he passes down ownership to his son, Kousuke. However, for years Kousuke has dreamed of managing his own hotel, and in order to make that dream, a reality his sights turn to the land upon which Yajima restaurant stands... Kousuke is the eldest son, and he thinks that it will be fine so long as he leaves the sign intact. However, his father Kouta is vehemently against it and wants him to leave both sign and restaurant as they are.

Ritsu Azumi leads a busy life, helping out each day at her parents' traditional food-focused Japanese inn in the countryside. She is open to them about wanting to inherit the business someday, but they simply laugh her off, saying there is no way a girl would manage it.

Then, one day, Ritsu receives a marriage proposal from Kousuke Yajima, the owner of Yajima. Their fathers are old friends, and everyone around them is overjoyed about this arrangement - except, in her heart, Ritsu. However, their engagement becomes the starting point for huge changes in Ritsu's destiny...
