description

Terra Trilogy features three full games in One package that pay homage to the classic and retro arcade genre of the 1980s.

Terra Lander - is a homage to the classic early days of arcade retro. Navigate the player to the landing pad through twenty increasingly difficult levels within the time limit and with enough fuel. Movement or firing uses up fuel though levels can be replenished by shooting the fuel dumps. Running out of fuel means you lose control and can't fire. If all fuel dumps are destroyed on any given level the player's fuel tank capacity is doubled for the next level. Avoid the moving doors and increasingly fiendish enemies. Find the switches for the doors that block your way. When a life is lost the player is temporarily shielded against enemy fire, this is represented by an electrical circular field around the lander just after it is respawned

Terra lander II - Rockslide Rescue This time you will need to rescue the humanoids of the landing pads from the planet through ten levels of increasing difficulty. Navigate the player to the landing pad through increasingly difficult levels within the time limit and with enough fuel. Movement or firing uses up fuel, though levels can be replenished by shooting the fuel dumps. Running out of fuel means you lose control and can't fire. If all fuel dumps are destroyed on any given level the player's fuel tank capacity is doubled for the next level. When all levels are complete, they repeat with a slightly higher difficulty setting.

Terra Bomber - is presented as a two-dimensional sideways scroller based upon the classic arcade shooters of the 1980s. Pilot your craft across ten increasingly difficult terrains while avoiding the various gun positions, rockets, and baddies with only one objective; to destroy the base at the end of the level. To help in both the offense and defense the player has both guns and bombs which can be increased in power by collecting power-up.

Another amazing collection that has come to the Nintendo Switch
This is not a perfect transition to the Switch, but it is still amazing to see it make an appearance on the console. If you have never experienced the rebooted franchise, this is a great way to do it (or on other modern platforms where the performance will be better). Still worth your time to see how Ninja Gaiden made the jump to 3D.

Great entry point
As someone who was never able to play the 3d iterations of the Ninja Gaiden series, this was an absolute great opportunity to play these classics on a modern console. And having all 3 at once in one cartridge makes being a collector so much easier.

Not bad, not great
Not a perfect port over but still a good collection. If you're a die hard modern ninja gaiden fan I'd pick it up, if you're on the fence you may be disappointed.

2 good games, 1 okay game
I should have reviewed this collection years ago, but looking back, it's still not a bad package at all. The first two Ninja Gaiden titles are quite fun, but can get frustrating if you aren't too skilled. The third game isn't as fun, but is still pretty decent nonetheless. The only real downsides I have is the occasionally inconsistent performance for #2/3, the lack of online multiplayer for those two titles, and the sometimes iffy resolution can become even worse in multiplayer. Outside from that, it's a fairly competent release.

Censored Japanese Version
No heads can be cut off in NG1 and NG2.
NG3:RE is unplayable due to performance issues, NG2 also struggles but is still kind of playable.
Cannot recommend this collection unfortunately.
