The Tetsudou Nippon! Rosen Tabi Sangi Tetsudou Hen series is where you can enjoy driving and traveling on fascinating local lines, the setting is the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line, which runs in Mie Prefecture. The Hokusei Line has an extremely rare feature that the track gauge is narrow which is unique in Japan. Because the track width is narrower than the width of both arms spread, it is necessary to slow down specially on the curves. You can enjoy the train driving experience by running at low speed and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Tetsudou Nippon! Rosen Tabi Sangi Tetsudou Hen - a good train sim by Sonic Powered
This train sim is similar to the Densha De go game based on the Yamanote line where this is based on the Mie Prefecture line on a narrow gauge railway (which has some challenges in itself). I enjoyed the gameplay and no nothing about the japanese language to get going but there are some obvious queues and not really that difficult to know what to do (apart from menus although Google translate was good to decipher or there are very limited Youtube videos at this point). In some respects an English language option would be appreciated. A couple of times I found it a bit frustrating when the train was indicated to go fast only to be penalised at a quick train stop or crossing that popped up shortly thereafter where a slower speed speed was required. Overall the Tetsudou Nippon! Rosen Tabi Sangi Tetsudou Hen game is another good train sim that allows you to watch scenery go by as if you were there and allows you to complete a number of stops on an entire journey and has some facts about places visited thrown in as well. Train buffs will enjoy it. Probably knock a star off for price as $93 AUD is a bit pricey when the game does not have English language option.
