The return of the Shigekikkusu Gummi: 4 new flavours for an all new experience (Apple, Strawberry, Tropicana & Vitamin C)

Japan produces some of the most bitter candy known to man. Just witness the expression on the man's face on one of the packages and you clearly know, he has popped a Shigekikkusu candy into his mouth -a tiny gummy ball that packs a powerful, face-scrunching punch.

Shigekikkusu is a made-up word loaded with meanings. Shigeki means a "stimulus," "impetus," or "spur." Here it shares a ki with kikku, taken from the English word "kick" and carrying the same sense of "bite" or "zippiness" as in English. Kikku also encompasses the verb kiku which means to "take hold" or "have an effect".

Being a Play-Asia.com customer for some time, you might have noticed a package of Shigekikkusu Gummis in one or another of your parcels already.

Finally, 4 brand new flavours are available for US$ 1.99 each pack (or US$ 16.90 for a box consisting of 10 packs):

  • Shigekikkusu Tropicana Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Strawberry Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Apple Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Vitamin C Gummi [single pack]

Of course, not to forget the 4 previously available flavours, which are still available as well:

  • Shigekikkusu Lemon Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Cola Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Grape Gummi [single pack]
  • Shigekikkusu Soda Gummi [single pack]

If you want to impress your friends with something special, make sure to give it a try.
