description

Cloud, Lightning, Tidus and the Final Fantasy cast are super deformed. This time they are not using blades and guns to defeat their enemies, they are going to use their sense of rhythm. Theatrhythm is a new branch of the franchise. It contains the most exciting, most romantic and most beautiful tracks from the series. Players can control up to four characters during the Battle Mode. Tap the screen, slide your stylus across the pad, trace the arrows and hold your note. The better sense of rhythm you have, the more damages you can do to your opponents. In the event mode, gamers tap to the beat of the music and enjoy the memorable scenes.

FUN
Nice to play, fun rhythm game with good music and RPG elements!
This one is outdated though, there is the sequel "Curtain Call"

A great game even if you've only played a few of the Final Fantasy games. I love the Battle Music Stages. It makes it more interesting that you're trying to defeat as many monsters as you can.

fantastic tunes
Excellent rhythm game for fans of the Final Fantasy series. Even though I haven't played some of the games, the music is still so good and the RPG elements in this game really sets it apart from conventional rhythm games. Definitely geared more towards FF fans though...

Very Enjoyable
I've always loved music games like DDR and the likes and as soon as this game arrived at my house I went straight ahead to play it and has never been bored by it.

I like how it still mixes and "RPG" feel to it despite being a rhythm game where you can choose up to 4 characters to play and have them level up with exp gained by playing songs. They each have different abilities that you can equip to help during the songs and stats helps in certain type of game.

There are so many surprises / unlockable items by gaining rhythm points within the game. Every 500 points, you'll either get a shard that will unlock a new character, a new song to listen to, a new video, a new option for your streetpass ID card, or even a new song to play in the challenge mode.

Challenge mode is also very fun. You can unlock Ultimate level after getting a good rank on Expert level. If you get all Critical on every note, you'll get the SSS rank. Getting an SSS feels awesome and if your character's luck is high enough, you do get critical pretty easily as long as you keep in beat.

I LOVE playing chaos shrine. The levels are random with different types of difficulties and there are 3 different bosses you get to meet. Boss #1 drops items, and so far I've always received shards from Boss #3 which really helps when you want to unlock characters. And there are tons of characters. Green shards, turqoise, crimson, red, indigo, blue, silver, gray, yellow, orange are the ones that I've collected so far.

Chaos shrine levels may have songs being repeatedly generated so it might get boring if you keep playing it one after another but you do get to play songs that you may not even have in your game. There is no scoring system like in Challenge mode and Series mode but you do get a Rank. The result just won't get saved.

You can only get to meet Boss #3 if your character has high agility and passed the mark that says "To boss 2 or boss 3" so you have to work for it to be able to reach them.

I didn't get to try out streetpass / multiplayer mode yet since I don't really have anyone to do it with so .. can't say much about it but it sounds like it'll be fun.

As a person who've never played FF series, playing the Series section of this games makes me want to play them. I'm sure people will feel very nostalgic about this.
