Thief - Good Game, But Not a Classic
Having enjoyed the original Thieves (Thiefs?) back in the day, I was quite looking forward to enjoying this update. Although, when first firing it up, I was disappointed with the performance from my GTX 560.

Fast forward a couple of months, I tried again with a 970. Much better! Very smooth, and looks quite nice - although not as nice as some other games, despite the relatively low frame rate.

Getting into the game proper, you find yourself stealthily sneaking around, trying to loot as much as you can as quietly as you can. And while the mechanics work well enough, and everything is quite smooth, it's all missing a certain je ne sais quoi. It's not just the mediocre level design - the game plays well, but it's just not quite as satisfying as it should be.

I'd give it a 7/10 if the stars here allowed it, but after ummming and ahhing, I think it could just about get 4 out of 5 stars - especially as it's so often available for a ridunkulous $5-10!
