Product Features

  • An auto-generated dungeon that changes daily - This 2D action game is set in Tokoyo – the Tower of Perpetuity – a constantly changing and devilishly deceptive auto-generated dungeon crawling tower with fiendish monsters and brutal traps. The Tower of Perpetuity is automatically regenerated by the game server every 24 hours (in real-world time), allowing for both Steam and Nintendo Switch players around the world to take on the same dungeon each day, and for one day only. Different traps and gimmicks await you each day, and you must compete against other players while battling your way through. The dungeon contains various differing branches, offering a certain degree of free choice and randomization
  • Light social elements - Race to the top of the tower against rivals around the globe as you aim to top the daily rankings chart. Players on Steam and Nintendo Switch share the same rankings, so if you manage to cement the top spot, well it means you are the undisputed king that day. Social features utilizing the network have been implemented in the game, in which a gravestone will be placed where a player meets their end, appearing in other players’ games along with their “relics” and “last words”. Take advantage of the different special skills afforded to each character and compete with other players as you struggle to surpass the countless bodies of your less fortunate rivals and fight your way through the impregnable dungeon
  • Official Custom Characters - Apart from the five original playable characters, the game also features playable custom characters designed by artists, VTubers, and game developers from all over the world! Among them are Diane the Mighty Goose Cosplayer (by Mighty Goose developer Richard Lems), Sedeto (by popular French VTuber Sedeto), and Noz (by popular artist Paroro)

Great Remake Of A Entertaining Game
While the game came out on the Nintendo DS the Switch version has definitely improved on the gameplay and levels. The levels are an entertaining mix of platforming and puzzle solving as you progress throughout to reach the end somewhat similar to Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker. Overall a nice addition to the Switch game library and one that should not be so easily overlooked by gamers.

Pretty cool
Did the original GBA game need a remake? I guess it doesn't, but the game runs flawlessly (well, that's a must!), it fun and you can play it on your own pase, making some levels per day. You don't need to invest a lot of time on it.
I purchased the Japanese versión and the cart is multi-language, so if your Switch is in English (or any other language) it will show text and any title, etc., in that language.
I get it cheaper buying that version, so in my opinion just get a copy if you can get it for less that the official price, no matter the cart region.

Weird but enjoyable, if you have the patience
Having played (but not owned) the original on PS3, I remember having fun. Years later, and having played Lost Child (wich is in the same universe) I ordered Shaddai without hesitation.
The game's story is nothing great, but it's still enjoyable. The gameplay can feel a little rough at times. But the art is truly something to behold.
It can be fun, if you have the patience for it

Vuelve esta maravillosa aventura
La historia no te cautivará pero su apartado artístico es una maravilla. Juego muy recomendado tanto si lo disfrutaste en ps3 como si quieres hacerlo ahora.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster
This is a compelling game with a confusing story but it looks gorgeous. The game is both a platformer and a hack-n-slash. The combat is quite fun but the platform aspects are definitely a weak point. If you're looking for an exciting action game you may want to look elsewhere. If you're looking for a fantastic looking game that's also fun to play then you should check this one out.
