City Pop Essential Album
Most people will be here for Plastic Love but there are plenty of other songs that are just as enjoyable that really round out the album.
This is a great place to start if you’re just getting into City Pop or amazing early Japanese voices in general.

I got this album mostly for Plastic Love but listening to the other songs I have really enjoyed them and I am happy with the purchase.

A great album to experience!
A very unique album to experience, and as someone from The West, with the smallest amount knowledge of Japanese pop/city pop music culture, I would wholly recommended this album.
The album's biggest draw is the ever famous "Plastic Love" which is the 80's city pop song that became an Internet sensation. I was curious to know more so I purchased the album and found the songs are all really well written and the whole album just sounds expertly crafted and heartfelt. From the opening song "try again" to the more 80's sounding dance tunes, every song will captivate your heart and stir up all kinds of emotions.
