One of videogame wrestling\'s finest chapters.
For wrestling game conniseurs (did i spell that right?) this is one of the finest chapters in wrestling game history. It\'s sequel VPW2 catches most of the glory as one of the premiere import wrestling games Japan has to offer, and it is. But for a great represenative of mid-eighties to mid-ninties wrestling in Japan, and one of N64\'s first wrestling games, this was arguably the best any system had to offer in 1998. Contrary to it\'s american cousin \"WCW/NWO:World Tour\", this game boasts 99 characters from every major faction in japan at the time, as well as the WCW/NWO stars featured in \"World Tour\". A small list of moves not in the U.S. game? Got it. An Edit mode featuring several alternate costumes/faces/color options, and an english rename feature for all 99 characters? Got it. And the most important thing, the all to infamous Asmik/AKI grapple system? You better believe it. Case in point, this game was simply amazing in it\'s heyday, and even though it\'s not the graphical powerhouse it once was, and it\'s engine isn\'t as revolutionary as it was, it\'s still as fun as it was in \'98. So if you can\'t quite get ahold of/afford VPW2, or you already have it, and you\'re looking to complete your import collection, buy this \"Hall-of-Famer\", and enjoy countless fun hours of delivering fireballs, and tiger drivers to all!
