Weekly Game Releases: Pikmin 3, Dragon's Crown, Ryu Ga Gotoku 1&2 HD, Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun SP Kyousoukyoku (River City Ransom)

Welcome to our Weekly Game Release news! A big week for US game fans! Lots of games that we've been waiting to sink our teeth into, and I'm sure you guys have been to!

WiiU[Real-Time Strategy]

Pikmin 3 is finally out, and in the US! Taking this beloved series to the next level, this game features integrated WiiU GamePad support - no Pikmin shall be left behind.

The GamePad acts as an overhead map/radar to track Pikmin squads in real time - this can be extremely helpful especially with the addition of the Rock Pikmin, who can break through enemies and barriers, enabling the five original types of Pikmin a way to more treasures!

With detailed maps, different camera views, the adorable Pikmin return in their 3 chaotic adventure of mass strategy! PIKMIN!

If you've ever watched Play-Select, then you know host Gold Mountain is extremely vocal about this game. For good reason too - since Dragon's Crown's announcement in 2011, fans of old-school 4 player co-op beat'em ups with a high fantasy RPG flair have been tracking this game for the release; finally it has arrived!

Lauded as the spiritual successor to the '97 classic Princess Crown as well as Capcom's Dungeons and Dragons: Shadows over Mystara, Vanillaware does it once again in this gorgeous hand drawn 2D Action RPG. With six unique character classes, branching paths, epic bosses, and a gamut of items, weapons and secrets, Dragon's Crown might possibly be the best type of it's genre this decade.

WiiU[Action Adventure]

Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition features the classic Yakuza games first released on the PS2 many years ago. The games haf been given an HD makeover for the PS3 in 2008, and the Wii U version is based on those - and equally smooth. Of course the GamePad offers some gameplay opportunities: the title will take advantage of the Wii U GamePad via in-game maps and GamePad gameplay.

BARF! Known as River City Ransom for the original NES, this retro brawler is back again for some stubby dragon-feet kicking, stone-hand punching, and acro-circus-grand-slamming-javelin man action. Forgoing the limitation of 2 player co-op from the days of 8-bit yore, brawl all over real Japanese locations with 4 players wifi. Hopefully there will be more retro sauna buttcrack! Or Not.
