Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator follows the adventures of Raquel Applegate, Yulie Ahtreide, Jude Maverik, and Arnaude G. Vasquez.
The story plays in Filgaia, a world scarred by battles and wars. Altough the end of the last war that tore the world apart lies 10 years back already, the place is still marked by ruins of descruction as a result of the battles that were taking place.
At the beginning of game, you play as Jude, a 13 year-old boy who has grown up in a part of Filgaia untouched by the aftermath of the war. You are meeting up a girl of the same age named Julie, who is hunted by some powerful organizations. Sympathized by Jule, Jude immediately decides to protect the young girl. During such, he discovers more about the world he is living in and especially the past which was kept a secrect from him.
13歲的少年，展開未知的旅程…
遊戲的主角，是生活在海洋上某個不知名避難地裡的13歲少年。某日他親眼目睹一群不知的團體闖入村莊裡，且挾持一名神祕少女，並要求村裡的人們交出島內受到封印的遺產。
而在陰錯陽差之下，當主角的碰觸到如沙一般的遺產時，它頓時發出了萬丈光輝，神祕遺產突然轉化成為一把奇特的兵器(ARM)…
