description

Where would people go after they die? What is ghost? Does it really exist? Humans feel unfamiliar to, yet fascinated by the after-life.

Twelve-year old Melody has lost her father Tony (Lau Ching-wan) in a car accident 10 years ago, she has since lived her life with her mother Mandy (Kelly Lin) and five-year old brother Oscar. A decade has past, a grown-up Melody (Mia Yan) tries to release her mother who has been living in pain of longing for her deceased husband since. Melody decides to write a novel with her mother and brother as a therapy, and to let her father to be "resurrected" in the fictional world and be "reunited" with him.

The world in the novel is an exact opposite of the reality; the same car accident, but it is the father who survives while his family pass away. Tony also misses his loved ones so much that he also writes a novel in which he is "reunites" with the ghost of his family.

The readers get their satisfaction while the writers can step from the despair; Mom and Dad, both writing their stories in opposite worlds are slowly on a path of healing.

The imaginary world can follow one's desire while the reality is unpredictable. The sudden accidental death of Mandy and Oscar leave Melody totally helpless and full of anger, she is determined to live them "live again" through the novel.

In the novel, Melody challenges the god of death and disrupts the balance so this family separated by life and death can be together in the world of the novel. Another healing process has started and Melody dismisses her suicidal thought.

Though Melody has no final answers about who holds life and death? How is one's fate being decided? Is there a god and are there ghosts? But she knows for sure that the spirit of the dead will live again in the longing of those living!
