Great Game!
I love Ryu Ga Gotoku series, for me one of the best games for PlayStation 2. In this first game we are introduced to the plot. Play this game is like play a anime seinen serie or a good movie. The gameplay is not so good in this first game but the characters are very cool! Kiryu Kazuma, the main character, is the man! Play and enjoy!

The first of Yakuza series
I have been hunting used copy of this game for a while, and I still can't believe that I finally even get the chance to have a brand new and sealed copy of this game. Awesome

Good game, could have been translated better.
I played this game through in Japanese when it first came out and loved it. When it came out in English I had to see what it was like. The voice-acting in the English version is not too bad, but some of the translation is a bit off, in fact in some parts way off, to the point that whoever translated it missed the point and/or subtlety of the Japanese completely at times. That said, if you don\'t speak Japanese, this will have to do. I have also heard that a number of side-stories are missing from the US release, but I haven\'t played the English release all the way through so can\'t be sure. The Japanese release has around 80 sub-stories, and you will want to do most of them, as they flesh out the story really well, and because some of the characters popping up in them will be appearing in the sequel due out soon.
Great game.
