Item Description

Zoids Battle Colosseum is a mecha game where zoids are piloted by humans and do battle. Battle is done via jankenpon (rock-paper-scissors) between the two zoids. Before battle commences, the player assigns the zoid's attacks to one of the three colored positions (red/yellow/blue). Then during the battle the player has 10 seconds to decide which attack to attempt by selecting one of the three colors. Red beats Blue, Blue beats Yellow, and Yellow beats Red. Once the attack has been selected, the two attack colors will be displayed with either "Wins" or "Loses" underneath. The zoid that won will then perform its attack. Play repeats until a zoid has been defeated. If you're a fan of the Zoids universe, pick it up.

A Decent Purchase
I\'ve barely scratched the surface of this game and so far it\'s been a pleasurable experience. The game is built solely around battling and acquiring more zoids and attacks. Battle is done via a simple jankenpon (rock-paper-scissors) interface. The player can also charge one attack by moving the stylus in a rapid, steady, circular motion to do more damage. After a winner of the throw has been designated, a short video sequence shows the attack being performed. The game is obviously in Japanese, but the menus can be figured out via trial-and-error. If one can read katakana and hiragana, he/she can get by rather easily. Knowing kanji definitely helps (I don\'t know kanji). If you\'re a fan of the Zoids universe, pick it up. If you are looking for a Japanese game to play, get it if you can find a good deal like I did; otherwise, save your money for a more popular Japanese or English-translated game.
