Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings (or also known in Japan as Ridī ＆ Sūru no Atorie ～Fushigi na Kaiga no Renkinjutsushi) is an RPG that will soon be released this March 2018. It will be released for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game will be the third–and the final–game that the Mysterious sub-series will offer and also the 19th main Atelier game. In fact, it will serve as the Atelier’s offer to the gaming public for their 20th anniversary.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings sets 4 years after the events that transpired in Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey. It features the twins, Suelle and Lydie, who live in a small atelier that isn’t known in Adalett’s capital, Melveille. Their only hope is to be of help to their alchemist father and make their atelier the most well-known in the said kingdom.

Despite their hard work, they are not able to get a lot of business. Hence, they’re only forced to live within their means. This is also the same reason why the bond of the twins become stronger.

Then one day, the twins heard a voice from the forbidden basement. There, they discovered a painting. The painting is a portal to another world where the twins were able to get unique materials that they can use to improve their business as well as their alchemy skills.

Your goal in this game is to raise the twin’s evaluation of their atelier. To do this, you need to take the challenges that you will face in Melvielle. By the time that the rank of the atelier increases, then it is the time that you will have access to new paintings that you can explore. There are plenty of rare materials that you will find in the paintings. and these will help to improve the alchemy skills of Lydie and Suelle.
