Nintendo™ Switch – US & EU

Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong return for the franchise’s debut on Nintendo Switch! This cool game is back and funkier than ever!

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was first released on Wii U. But with the new console heading the helm of Nintendo, the Switch, it is but proper that the game will be re-released for the said console.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze still carries over the charm that it brought when it was first released in 2014 for Wii U. This side-scrolling platformer game will definitely prove itself a big hit for Nintendo Switch. The game is a sequel to Donkey Kong Country Returns which was released in 2010 as a Wii game. And mind you, it has been the first big-deal game of the said console for the specific game.

If you have played the game before, you sure are aware of what the game has offered: great soundtrack, beautiful art design, painstakingly crafted levels, and fast-paced action. But not only that, you might raise your suspicion that it will be as hard as the previous installment. Frest not anymore as Nintendo already heeded your call. In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Switch, one can expect the “beginner-friendly mode.” This mode will give new and first-time players to get to know the game before they finally see themselves hooked up.

According to Nintendo:

This title includes all the fun and challenge of the original game, plus a new beginner-friendly mode that lets players enjoy this critically acclaimed adventure as groovy surfing simian Funky Kong. Funky Kong can double jump, hover, perform infinite rolls and even perform infinite underwater corkscrews. Thanks to his sturdy surfboard, even spikes can’t slow him down.
