Danganronpa series highly acclaimed developer, Spike Chunsoft, is currently working on their upcoming game, titled Zanki Zero (ザンキーゼロ). It is a survival-themed role-playing video game designed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita expecting to release in the 2nd Quarter of this year in Japan.

In a span of seven days, God has created a glorious world for mankind. But sadly, it only took one day for the humanity to ruin everything in it. As days passed by, it seems like nature is seeking for its vengeance. Everyday life in the world above is slowly drifting apart. Modern civilization is a total wreck and from day to day, it just keeps getting worse.
Until one day, the most frightening disaster came rushing towards the whole globe and instantly killed most of the humanity in a single day. However, there are eight lucky people who survived the catastrophe, each one labeled with their corresponding sin.
The game brings you into the post-apocalyptic world of Gareki Island leaving behind eight lucky survivors who you will take control of all throughout the game. However, these survivors are all clones. With that, they only have a lifespan of 13 days. And within those days, they will go back from being a child to a teen, adult, and elder.
Moreover, each chapter of the game will concentrate on a different character. The player will encounter battles with various foes throughout the game. In addition, most of the enemies here in this game are animals, which will reward the player with elements and ingredients upon defeat.
And now, let us meet the lucky eight survivors you’ll be working with all throughout your journey here in Zanki Zero!
【FEATURES】
- At the start, the only facility at the player’s base necessary for daily life is the water supply station in order to prolong the lives of the main characters, players will develop their bases with various facilities and raise their levels.
- The main characters are made up of eight human clones that are the last survivors of humanity. Excluding Sachika, the main characters are themed after the seven deadly sins.
- The characters will grow old and die in a span of only 13 days, and their appearance will change from child to adolescent to mature to old.
- Various other characters will support the main characters, which include a cast voiced by Masako Nozawa, Ryuusei Nakao, Mitsuki Saiga, Aina Suzuki, Toshihiko Seki, Ayana Taketatsu, Rika Tachibana, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Hiroaki Hirata, Masaya Matsukaze, and Haruka Yoshimura.
- When a character’s HP becomes zero, they will die. If surviving members do not follow the proper procedures, they will not be able to revive them. Through the “Extend Machine” system, you can use “score” to create a clone of a character that died. You can also play mini-games.
- Gareki Island has a television broadcast called “Extend TV,” which will guide the main characters. Dungeons are ruins that players explore through real-time progression, where items can be collected and battle enemies. You can also take on missions assigned to Extend TV.
