Shadow of the Tomb Raider

A couple of weeks ago, Square Enix released several trailers for the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The first trailer uncovered is the “A Stunning World” that features the vast world of the game that is waiting for you and your explorations. Second is the “Deadly Tombs” trailer featuring fatal traps and brutal puzzles that Lara must endure through her darkest hour.

And now, Square Enix’s latest gameplay trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider is called “Combat Tactics” trailer. This video does exactly what the name implies. It features back-to-back exhibitions of Croft. Plus, the trailer previews some of Lara Croft’s brutal moves that you will use for your survival.

From hiding in the jungle’s flora to stabbing and stringing people up the trees. The trailer makes it appear that the new Lara Croft here in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is bolder and braver. There are no limits for survival.

“Become one with the jungle in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with a new range of guerrilla tactics. Strike suddenly and disappear like a jaguar, use mud as camouflage, and instill fear in enemies to sow chaos.”

That is how Eidos Montreal describes the “Combat Tactics” trailer. Although the trailer is 45-second short, it did give us a nice preview of how the combat goes in the game. And we can say that those aforementioned tactics are seen in the video. The trailer begins in a lush deadly jungle where Lara is seen covering herself with mud as camouflage.

Lara stays close to jungle plants to hide from the enemies. But at the same time, she stealthily dispatches enemies with knives. Lara does these executions either behind the enemies or jumps down from above and kills the foes straight out. Furthermore, she maximizes the deadly jungle and uses the big trees and plants as her hiding place.
