Transference: Start a journey of many dimensions on PS4 and XB1!

PlayStation®4, Xbox™One Ι Genre: Multidimensional Thriller Adventure

The Victorian novella “Flatland” written by the British schoolmaster Edwin Abbott Abbott tells the story of a two-dimension world inhabited by beings which have the shape of geometric figures. Some of them can jump from a specific dimension to another while some others can’t. For example, even if can’t change its dimension the Square’s mind is opened to admit the possibility of the existence of a fourth (and fifth, and sixth …) spatial dimension in which other sentient beings that can see beyond the two-dimensional existence could live.
At its original release this book doesn’t obtain a big success, but through the years Flatland became a big source of inspiration for scientists such as Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkins who discussed the existence of higher dimensions that can’t be reached by humankind; while from a more pop-perspective Flatland has been quoted in many movies, and series such as Big Bang Theory and Futurama.

Also in the gaming field, this kind of dimensional passage has been recreated to open worlds which would otherwise inaccessible. In titles like Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Fez the player can flip between the dimensions to gain a brand new point of view useful to find new items or the passage for another area. If you’ve played with one of them you know that this could be done physically. But what about a mental dimensional passage? Is it really possible? Discover it with Transference for PS4, and XB1!

Set in a dystopian future in which companies can provide brand new experiences implementing them directly into the minds; in this psychological thriller, you live a sort of new existence created by the disturbed yet brilliant scientist Raymond Hayes. Inside this original dimension built on his personal memories, you can move around freely to undisclose the deepest family secrets who like a virtual Pandora’s box could unleash great and unexpected troubles in the two planes of existence. More than a simple multidimensional thriller adventure; Transference for PS4, and XB1 can be easily compared to an episode of the British sci-fi series Black Mirror. In fact, you’ll play an augmented reality video game that can provide you real fear while you search for clues, solve mind-bending puzzles, and recollect the broken pieces of your consciousness.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal in cooperation with Elijah Wood’s film production company SpectreVision; Transference for PS4 and XB1 provide a new meaning to the concept of interactivity melting the traditional features of a scary thriller movie with the innovative gameplay mechanics of the new generation of games. The result is something that, we’re sure, you haven’t seen and experienced before a true existential haunting! Face your darkest fears, they lurk behind each corner…waiting patiently…

With Transference for PS4, and XB1 you’ll enter in a “mental-maze” filled with a coherent plot which evokes primarily psycho-dread, but the more you move forward the bigger range of emotions you’ll explore.
Delve into the complex folds of the human psyche, jumping between different planes of existence digitally or physically. Play different; your dreams, fantasies and above all NIGHTMARES are all here.
Well, enough small talk, dear friends…the change has come!
