Nippon Ichi Software America released a new trailer for the upcoming HD remake of the critically-acclaimed tactical RPG, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, called Disgaea 1 Complete. The trailer showed the returning characters Asagi and the Prism Rangers.
Asagi made her debut in the Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories on PSP and PS2. But this time, she’ll be a playable character in Disgaea 1 Complete. Moreover, the Prism Rangers who appeared as boss characters in the original Disgaea: Hour of Darkness will be playable characters in the remake title as well.
We have seen all of these characters throughout the series over the years. But now, in Disgaea 1 Complete, we will be seeing these characters for the very first time in action! Just like the Prism Rangers, they are meant to be a parody character inspired by the well-known Japanese Power Rangers and Sentai series. Furthermore, Asagi has been a recurring minor character in the Disgaea series and made her numerous appearances in various NIS titles.
