With this, Square Enix has released a developer diary for “The Forge” showing the incredible team of Eidos-Montréal, on how they work extra hard for the upcoming DLC of the game.

Join the Eidos-Montréal team as they dive into these fresh experiences, which deliver all-new challenge tombs many playable in co-op. The team explores Tomb Raider’s rich lore with multiple side-missions, and even more customization possibilities with unique outfits, weapons, and skills.

You can watch the developer diary below.

According to Square Enix, in “The Forge,” Lara must face the lava-flooded Forge of the fallen gods to discover the mysteries of Kuwaq Yaku. During her adventure, Lara will unseal pieces of information about a friend’s ancient legacy, and overcome a threat long believed to be forgotten in flame.

“The Forge” delivers a brand-new challenge tomb, playable in both solo and co-op. Players who complete the challenge tomb will be rewarded with the Grenadier skill, Brocken outfit, and Umbrage 3-80 weapon.

The Forge will provide players with plenty of new compelling content that will keep Lara Croft fans on playing the game for months. This new content includes challenging tombs, co-op experiences, new weapons and outfits. In addition, there will also be a new Score Attack and Time Attack modes, as well as additional narrative side missions.

Lara Croft has mastered an unforgiving jungle, explored vast landscapes filled with tombs, and battled Trinity for the fate of Humanity, all set against the backdrop of the Maya apocalypse. Yet even more adventures await in the hidden City of Paititi. New mysteries and challenges will arise, friendships and rivalries will deepen, and above all, new tombs will be discovered in a series of downloadable contents that expand the world of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

“The Forge” will launch globally on November 13 for $4.99 or $29.99 with the Season Pass. Are you ready for a new adventure here in Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Grab your PSN and Xbox Gift cards here at

  1. This new tomb looks amazing. I just hope that isn’t short or easy to complete. I found the ones already in the game a bit easy to complete even on the hardest setting.
