The fan-favorite game from one of the biggest gaming publishers around the world, Bandai Namco Entertainment, is coming back to the video game industry after ten years since release. Tales of Vesperia is coming back as a Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this January 11, 2019, worldwide. It was announced during Microsoft’s E3 2018.
Bandai Namco proudly announced the return of the fan-favorite tale as Tales of Vesperia celebrates its 10th anniversary. Let’s welcome back the beloved tale on January 11, folks. Tales of Vesperia is a Japanese role-playing video game from Bandai Namco. It was released on Xbox 360 in August 2008 in Japan and North America following by Europe and Australia regions in June 2009. The PlayStation 3 version was also released in 2009 as well. Upon release, this game was an international commercial success as it sold 600,000 worldwide. Now, it’s back as a Definitive Edition, what are the newest addition to this edition?
Set in the world of the Terca Lumireis, where an energy source called blastia supply all the needs in the cities. The game follows Yuri Lowell, a resident in the Lower Quarter of Zaphia and a former Imperial Knight. He accepts a mission to find the stolen Blastia Core that is used to regulate and to supply water in his neighborhood. However, this mission starts Yuri to befriending a variety of characters, traveling into the majestic and exotic places, and of course, being in the middle of a treacherous plot which might lead to the destruction of the entire planet.
With the Definitive Edition, full HD graphics will be on as some of the never before seen characters, expanded story and more will welcome us. It will also feature two new fully playable party members for the North America version. These two characters are Patty Fleur and Flynn Scifo. It also uses a specialized version of the Tales of series Linear Motion Battle System. You control a single party member to combat while the other party members controlled by AI commands. Of course, you can switch between the four characters any time during the combat.
For the localization side of the game, the voice-overs will be available in English and Japanese. Meanwhile, the subtitles are available in English, Neutral Spanish, Brazilian, Portuguese and French.
