Cosen Games‘ romance visual novel My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? was announced for the Nintendo Switch a few months ago, alongside a new opening theme song by Ion, Petako, and Rin voice actresses. And now, Cosen Games revealed how the new opening theme song will sound as the Opening Movie for Nintendo Switch’s My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? has now been revealed.

【OPENING MOVIE】

My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? was first released for PC’s via Steam as She Is Mermaid!? with Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language support. And according to an announcement, its PC English translation is in the works and is expected to land in either December this year or January 2019.

On the other hand, My Girlfriend is a Mermaid?! has been announced heading to the West and Japan for the Nintendo Switch consoles. However, My Girlfriend is a Mermaid!? will also be getting an Asian English Release! Plus, it will also include language support for Chinese and Japanese, all as subtitles.

【STORY】

That summer, I met the mermaid you…

Our protagonist lives out in the city but one summer decides to return to his rural hometown and it is where he once again meets his childhood friend, Ion… who is now a mermaid!? Soon after he also meets Petakko, a mermaid who has lost her memory and Rin, a priestess who looks after mermaids but also has a split personality. It is these encounters that bring our protagonist in contact with the legend surrounding mermaid. Together with Ion, who is at the center of this mysterious legend, as well as Petakko and Rin, our protagonist’s strange summer vacation begins…
