The indie adventure-platformer video game marks its way to the physical copy in Japan. Square Enix‘s Forgotton Anne is coming to Japan this February 28th, 2019 in a retail version. This game is developed by ThroughLine Games and published by Square Enix.
First, it was released last May 15th, 2018 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 followed by Nintendo Switch. It features the game’s beautiful hand-drawn anime aesthetic style. Plus, the music is well-composed by the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. Now, the Japanese gamers will experience this kind of aesthetic in physical form on their PlayStation 4 this February 2019.
Imagine everything is getting lost and forgotten from old toys, letters, single socks and other. The game takes you in a fictional world called the Forgotten Lands. This is a magical parallel universe where the lost objects from toys, socks, lamps – come to life. These objects are hoping one day they will be remembered and return to reality. You control the main protagonist, Anne, an officer who keeps order in the Forgotten Lands. However, she’s on resistance against her master Bonku and herself from returning to the human world.
Uncover the truth behind the conflict between the ruler and the rebellion. Take the control the power of Anima. Anima is an energy that brings life to the Forgotten Lands. Use this power to solve the puzzles and command over the Forgotlings’ lives. Beware on your actions as your words and your action can alter the story, thanks to the dialogue system that places the authority on you. Of course, take indulge in the beautifully soaring orchestral score by the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra and the hand-drawn animated visual created to bring your favorite animated movies into reality.
